The Guidelines for the Establishment of Global Tourism Demonstration Zones issued by the National Tourism Administration recently put forward that the planning work should be strengthened and the top-level design of global tourism should be done well; tourism development should be included as an important part in relevant planning such as economic and social development, urban and rural construction, land use, infrastructure construction and ecological environment protection; tourism planning system should be improved; and the implementation and management of tourism planning should be strengthened. Our reporter interviewed experts on the significance, highlights and Implementation Suggestions of top-level tourism design in the whole region.            Formation of development resultant force            Global tourism is an important strategic orientation for the development of China's tourism industry and a brand new concept. In the interview, the experts mentioned the importance of planning in the establishment of global tourism demonstration zones, and talked about the difference between traditional tourism planning and global tourism planning.            "In the past, the tourism industry was managed by the tourism department. It can be said that the tourism department's planning in a"single-handed"way is now turning into a global tourism planning, which emphasizes the integration of various departments." Wang Xuke, director of the Institute of Tourism Development, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, said that with global tourism planning, on the one hand, tourism development planning can be better implemented, on the other hand, it is more grounded.
